Liveable Sheds - What’s Involved?
- The first step in your journey is to create a floor plan for your new home, how the home will look, the size of windows, location of verandas, balconies, colour schemes and cladding all come later.
- Once you have a floor plan you are happy with, we design the shed around this floor plan, locating doors, windows and openings and using internal framed walls (where required) to help offset the load on the structure from the extra weight.
- Next step is to obtain a Soil Report and Fire Management Plan (if required) for your property, these will both be critical in getting the design certified as liveable.
- After that we arrange for the Class 1A engineering, re drafting of floor plans (if required), and the completion of other reports (such as energy efficiency etc), all of which will be needed to get Council approval.
